Warehouse worker scanning inventory with a handheld scanner and tablet

Handheld scanners are still the fastest tool on a high-volume pick floor, but they're a real upfront cost for a small 3PL just getting off spreadsheets — and a hard requirement to meet for a seasonal team that doubles in size every November.

As of this release, every QuickScan workflow — receiving confirmation, bin put-away, pick confirmation and pack verification — runs from any phone or tablet camera with the same real-time validation you'd get from a dedicated scanner.

What stays the same

Scan-to-confirm on every touch — no manual quantity entry
Instant mismatch alerts if a scanned SKU doesn't match the expected item
Full audit trail tied to the scanning user and timestamp

Where this helps most

New 3PLs onboarding their first warehouse, seasonal operations scaling up temporary staff, and brands running fulfillment out of a smaller space where handheld scanner fleets aren't yet worth the investment.

Existing handheld scanner integrations aren't going anywhere — this is an additive option, not a replacement, so mixed fleets (scanners on the main floor, phones for overflow or receiving) work out of the box.
